I am presently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru. Prior to this, I was a Ph.D. candidate at the same institute, working with Prof. Annapurni Subramaniam. I submitted my thesis in July 2023 and I am awaiting the final defense. Currently, I am also applying for postdoctoral positions.
My research primarily involves understanding the late stages of low-mass stars through observations of ultraviolet-bright stars in Galactic globular clusters. I am also interested in the formation and evolution of non-standard sources like blue straggler stars and compact objects which can help trace the effects of stellar dynamics in dense stellar systems.
I mainly utilize data from the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) onboard India's first multi-wavelength space observatory, AstroSat. I also use archival astrophotometric catalogs based on HST (e.g., HUGS), Gaia and ground-based telescopes. I also employ MUSE IFU spectroscopic data to study globular cluster stars.
